A new £1.8 million community centre was officially opened in Dundee on Saturday 2nd May.
The Link, which was funded largely by the Central Baptist Church, is a two storey, state-of-the-art centre in Ward Road, on the site of the former old Curr and Dewar auction rooms.
It comprises a main hall, meeting rooms and a multi-sensory room, designed to provide stimulation for people with special needs.
The opening ceremony was attended by around 150 people including the church's present pastor the Reverend Jim Turrent and his predecessor, the Reverend Jim Clarke, who is credited as being the driving force behind the project. Charles Roland, Contracts Manager and Jim Midleton Site Manager of main contractors Brown Construction were among the invited guests attending the opening.
