Cuthill Towers, Milnathort
A development of Nineteen luxury homes based around an 18th Century sandstone steading. The Initial works required the existing buildings to be stripped back to the bare stone walls, which included removal of the former milking parlour and redundant milling equipment. The steading was then coverted into 11 individual units, based around the two existing courtyards and using to an advantage the varying features. A further eight new build units were constructed on brown field land occupied formerly by farm buildings with subtle differences in the detailing, to give the new build houses their own character. The construction was a mix of traditional and timber frame construction using materials( slate, heartwood larch, red and buff sandstone) that were chosen to compliment the existing structures.
