North Fintry, Phase 1

This project marked the first phase of the regeneration programme for North Fintry for Abertay Housing Association and saw the provision of 34 social housing units delivered under a partnering agreement. This development saw the use of lightweight timber frame construction employed to great effect, with no blockwork being used in the superstructure, rather a Rendalath polymer render system hung externally on the highly insulated timber frame panels coupled with contemporary Eternit wall cladding panels. Internally the houses benefitted from a Nuaire positive input low energy whole house ventilation system. Externally, all surface water was collected into a specially constructed water retention pond.
